Keep away from flammable decorations and materials.
Ensure that birthday candles are placed far from items like paper decorations, napkins, or tablecloths that could catch fire easily.

Keep out of reach of small children and pets.
Young children may be tempted to touch lit candles, and pets can accidentally knock them over, leading to burns or fires.

Ensure the candle is securely placed in the cake.
Make sure the birthday candles are firmly positioned to prevent them from tipping or falling over while lit.

Extinguish candles before removing them from the cake.
Blow out the candles while they are still in the cake to avoid handling hot wax or flames, which could cause burns or spills.
